Here is my BR 2.0L. The engine has seen a drive from BR in Wakeman, Oh to Tampa, Fl. Then it was driven from Tampa, Fl to San Diego, Ca. It also saw multiple tunes on a Dynojet and a MD 500. This picture was taken after things were cleaned-up as I was getting ready to make the switch to E-85. Looks perfect to me .

I wish you were on the east coast, you would be my first choice for a built motor, preferably your 2.3

and I have the same flashlight lol.

Its only like an 8-9 hour ride. Plus they'll ship you a short or long block no matter where you live

slorice, I'm fairly certain I know what you are thinking and I am checking the specs closer on few things we've discusses. As soon as I know more I'll get ahold of you.

Oh hell with it, so you guys know. I told slorice we should use aluminum rods. He wanted to stick with the Crowers. After seeing how good everything looked I am having the big and small ends checked to make sure they have stayed 100% round, if so then we will be using them over again in the new build. At the power/mileage/rpm etc., that this engine was run at I wasn't sure exactly how it was all going to hold up........after the tear down I couldn't be happier and was glad to see bearing wear non-existant.

slvrnblk, yes, that engine looks great! Thanks for posting the pics.

CADEVO, shipping of the engine or entire car is a lot cheaper than doing an engine twice, if you want some quotes just send me an email/pm or give us a call.

I watched that and started having dangerous thoughts about using it as a reference to take my engine apart.

There should be a, "Warning: Do not try this at home" disclaimer for guys like me.

Kudos to JROD for making the video, and to the Buschur team for putting together such great engines.

Yup, the rods are one of the things I'm undecided on. I guess I just hear all the jibber-jabber about how aluminum rods shouldn't be used in a motor that's going to see street use. But then I thought I read somewhere the GRP's are different. Maybe you can shed some light on that for me and the other people that are interested in the steel vs aluminum debate.

Like you said, the Crowers looks to be in fantastic shape from the video. How did the bushings on the small end look?? I'm guessing they are in good shape too so I don't see any reason to not re-use the rods unless they are really out of round, which I doubt.

The rest of things I'm undecided on, I'm just waiting on some good ol' Dave Buschur dyno testing.

GRP is not Groden.

I am putting GRP's in my 2.1 build.

Thanks for the video.
