As far as the 24.5 slick vs 26" slick question. I'd run a 26" and high rpm until the car started to drift around at the topend because of the tall tire. The tall tire and high hp can start to become a handful at high speeds. IMO , less then 140-150 traps a 26" should be fine.
If the car is drifting around a lot you could change to a 4.11 and a 24.5" slick and the car should drift around less with the short sidewall.
Once you start making serious power and have a longer power band you will see higher traps being able to ride out 4th gear. That's just the way it is. Max your Red out with a 38PSI spike and boost it keeping it in 4th. But yeah big big turbos will gain.

I have the six speed so I get better ratios on the highway.

Had the 4.11 on a 2.3 , 6262,6765 and I loved it I thought it was perfect for street use and some weekend track fun.

I agree with you on that one, I hated the 4.11. Harder to launch, slower traps, tears up clutches quicker etc. I moved back to the stock gearing and will never do that again.

The 4.11 paid off for the half mile run at 500whp. 8500ish in 4th was 149.70 on a 25" tire.

Shooting for around 650 whp / 500+ tq. Going to be running an FP Black on a Buschur 2.3 RPM motor on e85.

Edit: Forgot to mention I already have a Shep trans with an Evo 9 first gear and every option they have except the Evo 9 5th and final drive upgrade.

I'm on the fence about getting a 4.11. Anyone have any further advice if this will be worth while for me to get?

Thanks

if you dd your evo while living in a hilly area, i highly suggest staying with the stock f/d.

i have a 2.4L 4.11 with a evo9 1st & I live in a hilly area & my clutches hate it. i have warped my exedy twin & the stench that comes from my comp stg 2 disc smells worse than anything imaginable. anything flat, doesnt matter, but if i get caught on a hill / slight incline, forget it.

before that, i had a 2.3 with an oem 5spd... i miss the evo 8 1st gear with the 4.53, same area = no problems.

i will be pulling my engine & gb soon & will be going back to 4.53 & evo 8 1st gear.
