oil seal...

hey guys looking for a little help my oil seal behind the crankshaft pulley keeps leaking and its getting very annoying and expensive to keep fixing... i have replaced my pcv valve all vacuum lines are good. any ideas on whats goin on?

HAve you ever replaced the seal most suggest replacing with timing belt job at 60k. The seal is only like 5 bucks but you have to pull the timing belt and balancer belt crank sprocket ect. to get to it

as said in my orignal post. I've replaced the seal several times. but it still keeps leaking.. thanks for your input though!

How long does it fix it for? Are you sure thats whats leaking. Oil pump failure is the exact same symptoms as that would be up until it locks up.

i'd give it around 4 months of DD to work and back before it start up again. oil pump should be good it has also been replaced...

Check to see if the seal have cut a grove into the crank. It does this over a period of time. If so u need to place the next seal either further in or not as far in so that it does not fall into this grove and prevent the correct sealing pressure of the spring in the seal.
