You know....its funny you guys talk about floating a valve on your stock beehives and us dsm guys talk about the same thing. The difference, we use your springs and retainers as OUR upgrade to prevent it. You really do not have that big of a chance floating a valve with beehives. There have been plenty of guys who use stock valvetrain on dsm's and run 272's no problem up to 8.5k. So, with using the evo springs, i dont think that will happen. Thats why i dont understand why you evo guys love upgrading so much.

I just ordered a set of kelford 272s. They are a little more than gsc's but no one could tell me about the revised s2s, so I went with the kelfords.

^ The revised S2s are 274/274 11.2/11.0...

The Kelfords are 272/272 11.0 right?

I have the stock Springs and retainers. But then again, I try not to rev so high.

I recommend the Kelfords to the OP, but Idle will be lopey as cams tend to be that way. but you will never have to change them for 400HP.

I just took out my stock cams, and now I am stuck on the spring/retainer install, man this is hard! my fingers just won't work with all these small parts, especially the valve keepers!!! I would have already put the new cams back in if it wasn't for the springs and retainers part of the install, but I want to do it right the first time.

Kelford's 264's based upon your HP goals. The 272 are better for 500+ WHP
