Problem after cam install

after searching it seams like i might be 180 degrees off on my cam sensor. heres my issue

just installed a set of hks 264 cams. timing marks are on, when i first start it up and i rev it up around 2k rpm theres a strong vibration, clears up at higher rpms, then once it got alittle warm i get "lean pops" or back fire out the exhaust on decel. then once its warm it will back fire randomly on idle. no codes when i plug in a generic scan tool the short term and long term fuel trim was zeroed out, but the timing was jumping around from 15 degrees to 0 degrees and back ( i know the ecu adjust the timing is that correct at idle?) im thinking we have the cam sensor 180 degrees off beacuse i didnt mark it.... idiot i know but thats the only thing i can think of right now. is that how a car would run 180 off on the cam sensor? if anyone has any input please let me know. (one more thing when pulling the car out of the bay it didnt want to get out of its own way which again points to timing)

hmmm vibration isnt the cam reluctor, that sounds more like a balance shaft issue.

If it's off 180 degrees, it WILL still line up on the marks. The ONLY way to test it, is give it a twist like a school locker tumbler. Someone on here may be able to explain that better, but resistance, and "Bounce back" will tell you which way is correct?? It's getting late, so I cant think straight. If you need help, pm me your phone number, and I will put you in touch with the guy who did my work. Good luck, but this is your problem..
