p0011 help....???
okay well i have searched and doubled checked everything that i have read.. i even read a 14 pg thread to find out the guy never updated the problem

this is what p0011 means: Intake Cam Position Timing Over Advanced - Bank 1
okay well this is the story.. i swaped heads with a buddy of mine because he had cams, springs and retainers...he had no ses light or probs.. well i did the zip tie method with the cams and timing belt... got everything back together and no probs... well before getting tuned i pulled all my egr stuff off and ofcourse i threw a code.... well i went and got tuned and upon driving home it threw the p0011 code.... tuned said it was on before tune and turned it off and never came back on.. i kinda find it hard to believe it was on before the tune...... so i did some research and found the mivec map really cant be over 28*.... so he pulled the map and it was at 28.8*.. so he bumped it down to 24* cleared the code...after a little while came back on... so i swapped mivec cam sensors...came back on.... so i double checked the timing.. everything seems good.. cam gears line up with the valve cover and the crank mark is right at the upside down "t".... so while it was at tdc i check the trigger wheel and the white mark is up top at the 11 oclock position..... so everything checks out good and i cant figure out what the damn deal is.. please help!!!!!! sorry for the story

ok this is weird.. the ses is now off?!?!? i guess maybe because i just clay bar and waxed her so now she is happy...bwhahahaha but seriously please keep some suggestions coming my way in case the code comes back or for future reference for people that have the same prob.... thanks
could have the trigger wheel on 180 degrees off. Could be a bad mivec solenoid. You can also have a bad Mivec cam gear. In volvo's ( have the same type of VVT) you can get this code if the car has a hard time starting. Since the VVT is operated of oil pressure if it is exposed to a long crank time oil pressure does not build rapidly enough and can sometimes cause the apearence of this code.

bump... it will normally take 15min of operation to make the code come up. If the battery was disc. or the tuner cleared the code, it might have been away for the dyno then came back. I installed cossi's in my IX and got the same issue... annoying...

BUMP!
I just got this code yesterday and I have a 100% stock long block. No cams or anything. I cleared the code a few minutes ago so we'll see if it decides to come back.
Another weird thing is that this afternoon on my way home, I came to a stop and my fuel pump is SUPER LOUD now. It was never loud like this before. WTF!
