Test Pipe Question

A buddy of mine got me a test pipe from Buschur as a birthday gift. I have no other engine mods. Can I just install it and drive or is it going to mess up my motor?

your good to go. all that will really happen is you will gain more power and you might be shooting flames but there is nothing bad with that

Well, I got a check engine light and people are saying that white smoke is coming out of my exhaust. Others say that I will be running way too lean. I want to make sure i don't kill my motor.

I put on the buschur 3" TB over the weekend with no cat and no CEL's. Must be 02 sensor placement.

As for the white smoke, I get it too at idle, but if you're otherwise stock, you should get a little black smoke at WOT.

There are enough safeguards that you won't blow your motor over just a cat delete.

Buschur>all, by the way. Really nice welds, very light system and the easiest turboback install I've done so far.

Prom, do you have a downpipe or cat back exhaust? Also, what is teh diameter for the cat delete pipe?

White smoke on idle is normal since there is condensation in the exhaust when you start it. But white smoke on WOT means teh car is running too lean.

No exhaust, intake or downpipe. The only I have besides my coilovers is the test pipe. Yes, the white smoke was during WOT. Should I just put the stock cat back?

Do you feel teh car's timing being pulled? Or lack of power in the top end?

Is it a 3in cat delete?

Stock size cat delete. The car actually feels better with the test pipe. I like the power gain but I don't want to damage my motor. Any suggestions?

i dont think you will hurt anything to be honest. but ... if you dont wanna risk it , i wouldnt.

But if it did break, you could just put your stock cat back on and take it to the dealer.
