Oem Clutch w/ aftermarket flywheel?

I'm doing a clutch replacement soon and decided to go with the oem clutch since my car will be stock for the most part. I was debating on if I should get an aftermarket flywheel and if it's worth it? Has anyone gone with the oem clutch and aftermarket flywheel combo?

One more question: Do you need to change the the transfer case fluid for every clutch install?

i highly recommend to upgrade your clutch plate and pressure plate. your flywheel and throwout bearing are the only good parts thats oem. The clutch/pressure plate was not made for this car. I honestly think they put a lancer clutch kit in the evo.

and yes its good to change the tcase fluid since your gonna be in there. only use diaqueen sae90 lcd fluid on the tcase and lcd.

also its required to change the lcd and tcase fluid every 15,000 miles i think

hope that helps

Thank you sir for the advice. Since I'm on a budget I will only be able to afford an Exedy stage 1 and resurface the OEM flywheel. Any other budget clutches out there that are decent for some what stock applications?

The Exedy Stage 1 kit is prolly the best one out there for a near stock evo. Also its what i have and i love it. My evo is near stock also (tbe, aftermarket bov) Theres also competition clutch stage 2, Act clutch Kits, and so on. But I honestly think the Exedy Stage 1 tho is the best for your setup.

i searched for months on whats best for my evo. Because thats all I give it is the best. my .02

hope it helps
