Seems to be hit or a miss with people. Your stage 2 is going to be a different animal than our stage 1's. Pucked clutches are grabby and very on/off in nature. They are not meant to be slipped. My clutch is actually geting MUCH better. Only shudders minimally on first gear from a flat surface now.

I am pretty sure you will be a lot happier with your stage 2 than we are with our stage 1. However today after work i will try to do a few launches and see what i can figure out with this clutch.

changed the clutch and found that my previous clutch happend to be an exedy stage 1. i loved it tbh, but had to much power for it. then again i never had to break it in.

the stage 2 is even better. NO lockout, very nice feel (more stiff, fast release) and grabs VERY fast. granted it is still being broken in and im not driving hard but aside from the slight shudder at low speeds, i really like it.

Update on my side. The shudder has gotten MUCH better. Only really apparent on first gear and slightly in second. Do you guys have the stage 1 HD or non-HD? Maybe the added torque pressure on the HD models causes more shudder. Itd make sense as the shudder is only apparent upon engagement.

My stock clutch does the same thing... it chatters like mad when taking off from a stop. It doesn't do it all the time, but a lot. It shakes the entire car and makes all these horrible clunking and clanking noises, I just live with it. I have another clutch to go in, just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Good Luck with whatever you decide to do.

I have a stage 2, so far approx 2k miles on it. No problem whatsoever. It's important to note that I have yet to launch it or really get on the car up to this point.

We really can't compare any behaviors between a stage 1 full face organic and a stage 2 4 puck metallic.

Anyone have any updates??

I basically still have the issue it is getting a little better but still bugs me.

And for some reason when i tried to launch again it just bogs, any one have a tip for launching on this new clutch. I did really well with the stock clutch but I either chirp the tires and bog or just bog with this one.

It's called clutch chatter and you are clearly having it. It's not uncommon, you need to learn how to slip the clutch using RPMs and left foot technique.

Go get in your car, drive to a parking lot and practice slipping the clutch with no throttle. If the clutch starts to chatter, push it back in and start again. Learn how to slowly slip the clutch without letting it chatter or stall. (some clutches will not allow you to do this easily due to a strong pressure plate, but the stage 1 should have no problems doing it).

Now, do the same thing but use a little throttle blipping and slip the clutch while the RPM's are falling. You don't have to rev high...like maybe 1300-1600rpms. If the clutch chatters or the rpms fall too low, push the clutch in and start over.

Some clutches will chatter more than others, especially if the clutch was not broken in correctly. The stock clutch will chatter from time to time...it's normal.

When it does chatter, push the clutch back in and slowly start again.

This should help you.
