Exedy triple carbon questions..

Hello all, I was trying to find information about this clutch but what I found didn't answer all my questions.

First, what is the life span on these for DD and drag racing every once in a while?
If you have this clutch please tell me what kind of power your making and torque your making and how long has it lasted DD. And how much is the rebuild kit for this ?
and if there is a thread with this info, please provide the link as I have been seaching everywhere before I posted.
Thanks for all your help

hi there, while I do not have this clutch and cannot provide all the info you requested i will give what i know.

I have driven in evos with these clutches and all i can say is that they GRAB hard. instantaneously your moving. great for a drag strip as long as you slip it slightly you wont fry it. DD is where you have to be careful because stop and go will cause it to wear pre-mature. rebuilds are generally just a fraction of the cost of a new one, but with this clutch it will prob be pricey.

i saw a link with some info on this, ill see if i can dig it up. also have a buddy who does exactly that (DD and track) with this clutch, hes an evo mechanic ill talk to him and see what his thoughts are.

what are your power levels and long term goals for the car if you dont mind me asking?

Well I actually just finished building my car and I made 540 whp and like 380 torque on pump. So I haven't done a race gas/e85 tune yet. And reason I ask is because I was looking into one for a good price but want to know if it's worth it because I drive my car on weekends and twice to work.
Thanks for your help

i have one used it for 29000 miles, it needs a rebuild, i liked it, but i broke the pressure plate removing the tob......it was amateur hour when i went to uninstall it. it provided rock solid performance, and was super street-able compared to your other options.

The carbon is not good for a daily driver car, save the money and go with a cerametallic triple plate. I have one and can confirm it is a great clutch...
