Fp Green questions

hey everyone, Im wondering, of the people out there running a Green, what cams and injectors you are running. I noticed a lot of guys run 272 cams with a green but im wanting to run 280's and im wondering what issues i might have comboing those. let me know your thoughts n experiences with what you chose.

thanks a bunch
mike

Why? If your thinking of upgrading to an even bigger turbo I could see 280's, maybe. But most 272's are so aggressive you don't need the 280's IMO. Kelford 272's. Do it.

my thought behind 280's is to get the most out of any turbo i put on. but i think im gonna go with the green after a lot of thought so i was curious if that turbo will even see a difference between the 272 and 280

Well I haven't run 280's, but your gonna need a big turbo to spool them at the top end. i'm sure someone on here has run that same setup before. Maybe the green can do it for you. GL

The green runs out of breath up top where 280s would help. You would be wasting your money. not to mention 280s will idle like hell.

As mentioned....Kelfords are the hot ticket right now.

Me....I run Revolvers with my green.

Why do people base their cam decisions on the duration...Look at all the specs...Lift height etc. Stop getting hung up on the number. You can have two cams at 280 duration with different levels of aggressiveness. So please read more and research before you make your decision on a cam.

To the OP: Mike, is your turbo the original FP Green? The original Green is now refered to as the "Old-School Green". Or do you have the newer Green which is called the HTA Green?

Either way what the guys have been recommending to you, which are the Kelford 272's,,,,,that's the way to go. Especially since you have an Evo VIII. These cams should work great with either version of the Green,

Thanks for the input guys. I don't have a green yet, it's just the turbo I want so figured I'd see what others are doing/comboing with their greens. If the green doesn't flow the amount I need to run 280's comfortably then I'll stick with 272's. Thanks again

Gsc s2 are less than kelfords and equal to or better than the kelfords. Just another option for u to research and consider.
