cracking sound coming from front end

Well don't know if im posting in the right section or not but here goes.......Cars an 05 with acd and just recently started having a cracking sound coming from what sounds like the ps front wheel. It does it when hitting small bumps, any bumps actually, turning, and wot as soon as boost kicks in. Checked tie rods, ball joints, and cv boots and all are good. Could it be tranny or transfer case related???? Its not a constant cracking like an axle but a crack or 2 here or there. Just stumped with this one and wondering if anyone else had any suggestions. Thanks in advance guys

no its more of a cracking sound. If it was a bad strut mount would i feel it in the steering wheel? I dont have to hit a bump or anything for it to do it but when it does it just feels like its in the steering wheel but sounds like its coming from the ps. Idk.........

Dude check your front strruts mine was driving me crazy it took me hours of investigation before I figure it out. Thing was crackin with rainy weather on little bumps or uneven road. Noise went gone with new front right strut along with strut mount. FYI faulty strut looked good to me . Good luck Sherlock!
