BBK questions for people who have them
Hey guys, Just curious on your BBK.
What type of oil line connection are you using?? standard IX or some upgraded lines to the housing??
I am looking to get the BBK very soon and just wanted to see what type of lines/kit I would need. I keep on seeing that FP needs the recommended lines.
As for why I don't just ask CBRD, I don't like to bug them with questions and feel as I get to be a pain.
Thanks for any info guys.

I'm sure they'd be happy answering your questions. Especially if you're a potential customer, and if they aren't helpful that would be reason enough not to buy anything from them.

Just wanted to see what people have to say about there install.
First off, ALWAYS get info like this directly from the source. No third-party BS. However, if you search on here, you'll find a few things. One, FP recommends the uprated oil line/source because they do not use an OEM center section, they use their own proprietary one (it just looks stock). Second, I have drilled chad about this, and he said that even BBK's on time attack cars running 30psi regularly ON THE TRACK run a STOCK OIL FEED LINE!
Let me tell you, this simplifies aftermarket turbo installation SOOOOO much. Just get fresh gaskets/copper washers for the install and you'll be golden. I installed mine over a year ago and no issues yet, 18k miles so far. *knock on wood*

I'm assuming they're helpful and haven't heard anything negative on this forum about them. I guess I like to get my questions answered by the people I'm looking to make a purchase from. I can't wait to finally have enough saved up to buy me a bbk. Good luck with your turbo

Either way, I'm a BBK fan and can't wait to drive down and pick one up.
But now I think I'll pick up the intercooler too.
no problem with asking questions.... as long as responses come from people that have our parts LOL LOL!
we run the stock oil line... I dont know of anyone running an upgraded one with a BBK, we have installed the FP oil lines on FP turbo cars... its not a terrible pain, just requires some patience.... pretty simple...
If we saw an issue with the stock oil line, we would have provided an upgrade...
cheers
