Is there a good intake that you could recommend? I was trying to stick with buschur but I am open for suggestions. I didn't see an intake of theirs that would work with a non speed density setup.

The one in the picture i posted is the one you want. The standard Buschur racing intake maf pipe. I think you maybe confused about speed density. Speed density is removing the MAF and using air intake temp and a MAP sensors with some ECU patches to tune the car.

That's Buschur's MAF Pipe and Filter kit. It works with the stock ecu and MAF. I realize there's a disclaimer at the bottom, but I don't think anyone has had problems with it. That's the same kit I used when I was running an FS635 turbo on the stock ecu. I never had any stalling issues.

Well I did try to order that intake kit from buschur when I ordered my street fmic, intercooler pipes, and mini battery kit. I was told I wouldn't need it from my understanding. I see that using it makes for an easy install now.

I am going to get tuned in a week with all the new additions.

Thanks everyone for your help and patience.

Question

Well I was hoping that I was done asking questions about the intake. It appears my stock intake also has another line coming out the back side of it closer to the head. I am not referring to the recirculating hose or the intake line we have already talked about.

Do I cap this small hose off or does it serve a purpose if I go with an aftermarket intake? Ill get some clear pictures tomorrow as I finally get a day off. *edit* it appears this hose is for the crankcase vent? I notice most intakes didn't have this nipple.

Correct, it is the crankcase vent. You'll either need to get a breather filter or a catch can.

I made phone call and it I was told to keep the factory intake as an aftermarket MAS would only cause problems with idle and stalling unless I was running speed density.

I was recommended to get a gates 22271 lower radiator hose with the 90 degree bends and replace my factory recirculating hose at it would be to short to run from the new TiAL bov to the factory intake.

Question with keeping the factory intake...

Anyone have a recommendation for fitting the new gates hose onto the spot where the factory bov sits? It appears I need to get creative to make this work.

Can I leave the crankcase vent hose connected to the factory intake without any alterations and it still work fine or am I forced to purchase a breather filter kit?

This is a picture of my intake and stock bov on my evo 8. If you can read the caption in the picture I pretty much want to find a way to hook the recirculating hose into the top of the intake minus the bov. As in my previous post I bought a hose with a 90degree bend in it.

What part do you recommend I purchase to get the two hoses to connect?

This next picture is the side of my new bov with the hose I was recommended to get to fit it. It appears to be a little to big but tightens up if I push it up on there good and clamp it tight. Is it wrong to tighten a hose up like this or do I need to find a smaller size?

*edit - sorry for the huge pictures I forgot to resize them before I uploaded. *

Disregard the last picture about the hose being to big. It appears I was shipped the wrong outlet for the recirculating hose. I have the 1" but I need the 1.34 being that I have an evo. I even mentioned that when I ordered.
