K&N Typhoon Intake?
dude theres nothing really else to see. Its just a polished pipe under the heat shield. everything is top quality. Im sorry it seems like thats all there is to see is the filter, but thats pretty much true considering the heat shield covers everything else like its suppose too. and you havent seen this filter before unless you have the Typhoon.
I just wanted to see how it set in place. Didn't mean to **** you off. I have seen this intake on a few Evo's just none of them were stock. I mean they all had tons of **** done to the engine bay.
man you didnt **** me off sorry Im a little harsh. My car is overboosting and causing fuel cut right now, so no playtime allowed.sorry I'll get ya the pics, along with the Samco hoses which are installed.
all of you who installed the typhoon, look at picture 25 of the instructions. I think they are telling to to put it in backwards. Mine ran so bad i went to the dealer and looked at a showroom evo. The bov was a different orientation than picture 25. I then got my manual on cd and printed the picture of the intake. Yep on backwards. If it caughes and sputters, i think its on backwards. it should just have one big "ssppeewww" and thats it. Check me if ime wrong, but i aint... RRR
You mean the BOV was on backwards from the factory or after you reinstalled it onto the typhoon? Or are you talking about the MAF? I have heard rumors that a few MAF sensors on a/b 2000+ Evo's were not evenly lined up with the intake piping when built, causing air escape and misreadings. Anyone else follow up on that?
Hey guys just ordered my K&N intake from next-gear.com. The guy was real cool and hooked me up ($210). No one else ever came close to that. If I get it in and can get a cheep run on a dyno here in Houston I will post numbers on gains. These will be the numbers that a Typhoon puts on a stock evo.
