Need opinion on tune problem

The guy who tune my car just said to me that he want to put some PSI on my car and it dosn't go up....

so the question is : where the problem could be ? did the wastegate is already at his top ? or there still others possibilities from others car part...

he's mostly sure that this is the wastegate...

thanks

So, how are you controlling boost on your car? For example, are you using a manual boost controller?

Does your car have the factory vacuum/boost hose assembly, and boost control solenoid, or has that been altered? If you are looking for other parts which may cause that problem, then I'd start with that Greddy BOV.

Those GReddy BOV's have been known to create a lot of tuning issues. Yeah, frequently they'll experience a torn internal rubber diaphragm. Even if properly functioning if it is venting to atmosphere or improperly adjusted it may be creating problems. If you can get your hands on a stock JDM IX metal DV you might want to swap it on instead of te GReddy just to verify.

Incidentally, what boost level are you currently stuck at, and how high do you want to raise it?

He means you probably have a boost leak somewhere, likely at the Greddy BOV so your system won't hold anymore boost. Have you boost leak tested your car?

for now, i have stock boost and we just want to raise from the air/fuel guage... so i think it's like 3-4 psi more...

i'll ask for the boost leak, im not sure he made it last night :P that will help to find the problem

my guy said that he couldn't up the boost without a boost controller... is that true ? i suppose that the ECU have a kind of top end limit to not go over.... so the boost controller bypass the computer sort of ?!? or maybye juste a problem that we spoke (Greddy, solenoid or boost leak) is the cause of all that...
