Clutch for 600-800awhp

I have read countless threads on which work for drag racing but i think this is the perfect place to ask some of the members on here who have many different setups which works and which doesnt? So the question is

If you have a clutch rated @ this power level, do you find it easy to slip off the clutch in 1st gear?

I have a Exedy Triple Cerametallic Disk, and my answer is NO i have to rev to 2-2.5k to slowly get the car moving in first.

I used to have a the Exedy Twin Cerametallic HD Disk and it felt alot easier rolling out of 1st.

Rolling out of first with the exedy triple seems to be butter for me... not much harder than when I had the double.

No its not easy to slip some of the heavier duty clutches. IMO the exedy triple is the easy clutch to drive around with ( when getting to the heavy duty clutches). I absolutely hate my tilton twin. Dont get me wrong it does what its supposed to just not a street friendly clutch. QM isnt as bad as the tilton but still not a fun dd clutch.

I have an Exedy Triple and most have no idea I have it except the occasional Chewbacca growl it emits when I start moving it (which is typically mostly when cold) or the rush of air sound when the clutch is depressed. It's very smooth engagement, solid fast shifts when racing, and daily driving is basically effortless. Either your clutch is adjusted wrong or you need more time to get used to it...

My triple is definetely not as easy to drive as the twin disk. but my twin lasted 3500miles and Ive heard others have had this problem. The triple took me 3 launches to figure out how to slip it right. But it engages great and you can abuse the S*** out of it. Fast shifts no problem!

Woah 3500... something was seriously wrong.

My first twin lasted somewhere around 50-60,000 miles. My second twin I was making over 600hp on it and racing the **** out of it and pulled it around 20,000 miles or so. I ended up rebuilding it to a triple with my latest build and the twin internals are still in great shape which I still have...
