Insane Jerking, bucking WOT only on cold-ish motor??

So the other day i hop on the freeway the temp needle was about an 1/8" above the cold line...i decided to get on the throttle a bit to merge and almost immediately the car bucked extremely hard, it felt like a mix of slamming on the brakes and running into a dog :>) idk how else to explain it...anyways I shifted into 4th got on it a bit and it did the same thing....I rarely ever get on it with a cold motor....and i do recall this happening just once before and at that time I actually thought it just hopped out of gear (which of course i was not happy about)....after last night i know this is not the case. Any ideas?? my car is fine under boost and WOT if it is warm...but idk Fuel Cut, Loss of spark? i really have no clue....Thanks!

We here in the northeast experience the same thing when ambient air temps are low. The first time it happened to me, I checked the whole car over. Found out later that my plug gap was too high and having spark blowout at WOT. I would say first thing is to check your plug gap.

Never go WOT on a cold motor.........ever......but I had the same issue and it ended up being my spark plugs.

Yah I was thinking spark plug gap but wondered why it only did that on cold temps. It just did make any sense to me. I try to never go wot on cold but had to merge in front of a fast moving semi. I changed plugs about 2 months ago and can't remember what I put the gap to...for some reason .026 sounds familiar...too large?
