Could a p0401 Code cause a p0300 code?
Not necessarily. One of your hoses popped off of your EGR. Check behind/under the intake manifold and you'll see 2 hoses. You can use some zipties to get them snug.
For the P0300s - go to your local tuner and have them disable it. I've had no codes since...

The dealer reflash may have fixed a few car's P0300 code but for most cars it did nothing. In other words, not a good choice.
The real fix is to have a tuner turn it off. They can do this without touching any of the rest of your tune.
