Hey Guys , Any one tried the 4.111 on the Track ? Can you pass the 1/4 on 4th gear ?

you can pass 1/4 with regular 5 sp gear box...

 

But i have a 4.111 , I dont want to shift to the 4th before the finish Line .. Any one try it ?

A quality read on the 4.11 final drive.

Almost every Evo drag car in existence with a manual gearbox shifts to 4th, the goal is not shfting to 5th.

^^ Thanks for the link guys , Actually i Rev at 8100 RPM ... Ill try it very soon ... Ill shift into the 4th Gear in few Meters before the Finish Line ... :s I hope No .... Other wise i have the shift fron the 1st to the 4th on 7800RPM ...

I don't see how you're even considering not shifting to 4th. You'd have to do 9,500 rpm in 3rd to do 120, and that's if you only wanna run 11's.

With the 4.11 gears you're only hitting 103 mph in 3rd. So yes, you have to shift to 4th or blow something up. 4th gear will get you over 140 at your RPM.

If you want to stay out of fourth, you'd need to build a 2.0 or 2.1l and go 10k, probably closer to 11k rpm. Even if you went with 3.73s you'd only be getting to 120mph.

Well then is your question now where you will have to shift into 4th at? You'll hit 4th right around the 1/8th mile, so about 200 meters before the finish.
