Dyno Flash REFUND PLEASE!!!
How hard is it to record a conversation if indeed he was lying to you and such??? Anyway, depending on the law, it might only take one side to agree that the conversation can be recorded, just like in the state I am in. Then you can at least prove that he is lying to you or whatever. As of right now, it is your words against his. In addtion, I don't understand if Al is willing to give you a refund if you reflash back to stock, why you wouldn't do it since you are not satisfy with his service. You can't expect to keep the product and get a refund too. To get a refund, you need to return the product. Anyway, although it is your word against his, it still makes me think twice about where I would get my service done at.
As I see it, before you buy anything, you should think very clearly what you are about to buy. What really suck is dealerships marking up cars way above MSRP. I know many car owners who paid above MSRP than found another dealership selling at or below MSRP. Now you can't go back to that dealership and ask for some money back because they will laugh at your face and tell you to get lost.
But, if someone goes out of their way to give you time and service, it's not fair to ask for a refund just because you had second thoughts. Now if that service did not improve or do anything than a refund should be given. So think before you buy.
Wow if I could get my money back for all the real POS products I bought in the past, I would have some money for better things.

As a tuner, Al usually wont stop until he gets you the power from the flash. I got my Dynoflash done at the Evo meet on Nov 1st. And my car only got 18whp gain on the dyno, but I want AL to keep all the money, never once thought about the $200 'discount'. the simple fact is, my evo is a bit harder to tune than some other ones, so AL spend a LOT more time(we did like 6-7 pulls) getting me the power, he didn't stop until the power was unleashed. And because of the fine tuning, my evo had the smoothest the power curve of all the car that were done that day, althrough it was prob the weakst, the evo is just sooo smooth and a joy to drive now. I Know that Al sometimes say **** about the parts you put on, he didn't like my RMR intake, and I somewhat agree because its really dirty (used for about 13000 miles) I expect better results when I clean it...but I didn't let Al's word bother me.
Anyways, we all have our sob stories.....but the buttom line is that you were able to buy an evo and you made the choice of goingwith dynoflash. Please don't come here and start crying with your 'I work 60 hours week' BS, because you know what? many guys on this board also work very hard to keep their car and their life together, I don't see you are any different....beside the fact you sound like a spoiled brat whos used do things he's own way and don't have a clue about the real world.
You have a choice, the choice was always there. Al posted the return policy the first time he started to advertise dynoflash on the board and on his site. He spend time making you something and he should be paid, if you keep the flash and he managed to refund you the money. Then whats the diffenerce between that and STEALING?
There, thats somethng to think about.....

Ok, this thread is closed. There's no need to excessively bash/insult Al during this process as you've done. Your intentions go beyond letting members know about your experience with Dyno Flash.
I would suggest taking this to pms, email, or phone as it's obvious this is not going to get resolved over the forums and we're not a soap opera for entertainment. If you want your money back, Al stated he would reflash to stock and refund you. I would suggest taking that offer so that you can be done with your experience. If you do not trust his word, then try and bring a mediator member along as well. I'm sure there's a number of NY Evo members who wouldn't mind helping out.
