timing belt tensioner ruined?

not on an evo, nope. i've never seen an engine where it mattered if an oil pump skipped a tooth. i've never seen one that had to be "timed" with the other pulleys.
i didn't see anything on any how-tos about making sure the oil pump was lined up with everything else.
that is just silly. LOL
pulling the timing covers off now. i'll see what's up.
**edit. just re-read the service manual. found where to line up oil pump. i'm on it.

now.. as long as i didn't bend any valves, i'm good to go. man. i hope i didn't bend any valves.

if you jumped three tooth, you may have.
If you worked on other import engines (Hondas and Toyotas) You can't use the same methods for the 4G63.
The Evo timing belt should be replaced every 60k anyways.

Pretty much what I'm thinking. Especially with a 272 duration and 11mm lift. :-( but I'm remaining hopefull.
