mani cracked!

mani cracked!

so i went to iveytune today to get some mods and a fp-red installed and the first 5mins of me being there they point out that my invidia mani was cracked holy s*** i had no clue so i had to put my stock mani back on to get tuned

now i have a question if im tuned with the stock mani and i swap it out after being tuned for a oem ported w/jet coating will it make any difference??

It will make a difference, but not a major one. The porting of the manifold should help slightly with your spool up and allow for slightly more airflow. Keep an eye on your wide band, but I am sure you will be okay.

I always hear about cracking issues with those invidia and also the Megan racing manifolds. Just crappy materials and welding I suppose.

+1, not much of a difference, but it should net you a few more WHP!

i have a megan tubular that cracked also, i had a couple braces welded on and its been holding up fine since. my advice is take it to a local sheetmetal shop of fab shop and have a couple braces welded on, cheap and easy fix

ok thanks guys! i think im going to swap it out next week, i hate to have the oem ex mani in there to bad i didnt know about it last week

lol should have bought a mona lisa dude lol. Jk i would just get ported stocker or another tubular like mona full race or fortune auto new one and be done with it
