3" Titek mod?

I have been hearing a lot of people talking about this "modded" Titek o2 housing that's somehow ported to a true 3" outlet. Is this a simple grind of the outlet or is there a specific method to achieve the 3" without compromising the integrity of the housing? Wouldn't it be easier to just lightly mod an Invidia if one wanted a 3" outlet? Already tried posting this in the "How to request" section with no luck. Moved here for a little more exposure. Thanks for the help.

maybe because no one has any idea what you are talking about. Do you have a cross link to what you are referring to?

Contact ER and ask them. They did that on this build.

oh nice. Glad someone else made one, because the works one for 400 bucks is a huge ripoff.

I did this mod by opening the housing to 3" and welding a 3" v-band to titek o2 and cutting off the flang of my megan DP and welding a 3" vband to that also.

When i get time tommarow i'll post a pick..

^^You rock. That would be super cool if you post some pics. I was hoping not to have to resort to welding a new outlet onto it but I'm open to suggestions. JDMevoBoost that was my original plan was to go with the Works outlet but I've heard nothing but horrible stuff about it not to mention the price and availability.

03evo8gsr thanks for the link. That's an interesting piece they have there. I am gonna call them Monday to get some more details. Looks a hell of a lot like the Invidia from the back. On looking at it further I don't think it's the Invidia but I will find out and let y'all know!

Update on the housing at horsepowerfreaks. It requires a custom downpipe in order to fit. Apparently they have had a whole
bunch of them returned because it won't even fit any aftermarket 3" downpipe. And the the company that actually makes it does not make a downpipe that fits. Go freakin figure.

Hey Walt. Thanks for the pics. Wish I had welding skills. Looks like a good alternative.
