Checked cam triggers? Could be 180 out. Fairly common mistake.

Where would I find that exactly?
You mean the can position sensor on the exhaust can right side of the head?
Thanks...

Yes. Inside of the cam sensor there is a metal trigger that is bolted tongue end of the camshaft. Turn the motor to tdc and check the orientation.

OK very good, I will do that. I used the specifications as they were listed on the evomoto site.

The orientation is spot on according to the install directions on evomoto...

5mins? wtf? i've never had to run one that long. that's cray cray.

OP: i could be wrong, but i thought our cars don't see oil pressure while cranking. i haven't tested it, but i thought i read that here.

My oil light goes out if I crank the car for 15 seconds (with crank sensor unplugged so it doesn't start) to prime a new turbo..

good to know. i never really paid much attention LOL. but i know idiot lights typically come on when pressure is super low i.e. too late to do anything to save the motor. is it enough to show on a gauge?

It's probably only 5-7 psi to turn off the light..

Spinning the oil pump with a drill or similar is one way to get pressure in your motor.

My preference is to use a pre-luber, which is an electric external pump that pre-pressurizes your motor without turning it over until pressure is normal and all of the internal passages have been fully pressurized. An accusump does something similar... That prevents any chance of damaging your internal rotating parts if the pump does not prime immediately...

it's only two hardened steel gears with very little load. how bad could it really be? i plan to pack mine with assbly lube anyway. easy peasy.

so what exactly do you put the drill on?

**edit never mind. the nut on the oil pump pulley. use an impact, etc. got it LOL.

NEED HELP!!! I've got no oil pressure!!

Don't use an impact gun, use an electric drill with a socket adapter. Once you have 80psi of oil pressure, the impact will be hitting that tiny oil pump shaft with the hammer, which won't be good for it..
