Sent my ECU to Al on Tuesday; got it back yesterday (damn, that's some service!)
In my nearly stock Evo...only modded with BR MAF pipe /Filter...the car now pulls like a mother after spool up. Before, it always felt like the power just "gave up" and dropped off after about 4500 rpm. No more! Now, it pulls to and beyond red line. I love it! It should have come this way from
!
I also have a Defi boost gauge sitting in my garage to install this week-end so I'll try to repost boost peak and taper over the RPM range for some comparisons with people who are stock.
I cannot imagine a better "bang for the buck" for people who are many miles from a dyno than having Al flash their ECU by mail. The dude is continually bashed/loved on this forum but he delivers product cheaply and safely--don't hate the player...

To bad that he is so far away , i dont want to settle with the over the mail flash . I want to make sure i get those 20whp but thats only possible on the dyno . Glad that you obtain good results with your dyno flash

All we accomplish is a REDUCTION in boost taper
Even with a EBC or MBC the boost spikes up and falls down to some degree
