Best 3" Cat

I was wondering which is the best performing cat?

I see that there are big gains by not running a cat, but for those people that want to run a cat, which catv offers the best performance & still does it's job?

I was hoping that a vendor would respond with some insight? Does any particular cat produce CEL's more than others?

Random is nice but $300. Silver Surfer did some test on the 2.5" and said it flowed better. Some people on here have been getting cell with URs' cat but maybe they've fixed that.

I was asking about using a cat MYEVOVIII,

I saw the RMR 3" racing cat on-line, it looks tiny which is probably better for power than the larger cats I have seen. Thats why I added "still does the job" to by original post.

I believe our 3" HF cat is the best our the market. I believe it's the higest flowing as has only a 8" body. It also bolts right up and is only $110.

It also doens't cause a CEL.

Let me know if you have any questions on it. It is a carsound product.

I hate to be a PITA but the Random and RMR Cats utilze 4" single brick designs, how is an 8" (duel brick?) going to flow better? The stock Cat brick is only around 8-9" inches long also, and it's unique triangular shape gives it a larger surface area compared to the aftermarket highflow Cats I have seen.

I do not know about the RMR cat, but the Random utilizes a very thin wall metal substraight spiral brick, that coupled with the short 4" single brick design is what allows it to flow significantly better than anything else I have seen or tested.

I have run the Random (2.5") with the stock ECU for 3-4K in my car with no cells. We also sniff tested it and while the levels were higher than the stock cat they did meet EPA standards. I now have a 3" Random, with the stock ECU I did not get any cells after a 500 mile road trip. I am now running standalone so...

I don't know anything about your cat, so I am not saying that it is better or worse than these others mentioned, but an 8" brick is certainly not a good enough reason to say that it is better. Can you tell us more about the brick and body design, maybe a couple of pics?

Here are some comparison picks of some of the cats I have played with.

Left to right: generic highflow, stock, Random 2.5"

I was just noticing that these pictures don't really accurately show the differences, but at least it gives you some idea. While it doesnt look it, the high flow brick actually does have a slightly larger matrix hole size compared to stock, even though the pic looks differently.
Also the Random matrix is even thinner and more open than this pic shows compared to the other two.
Sorry for the pic quality but it is better than nothing I guess.
