You guys just need a new clutch. Plate could be worn down and not fully disengaging.

After testing it down and up again seems to help at the highest engagement point which kinda sucks. I read somewhere that removing the pill will lower it a bit? Anybody know if this is true?

i know this is an old thread. but i recently did my new clutch and have been getting lockout at high rpms.. will adjusting it higher help the problem? is there anyway you can keep the engagement down without it locking out ??

I know there is some minimal adjustment in the clutch. but I would recommend getting a new clutch and sending your trans off the SHEP and getting it refreshed! You shouldn't have a problem for the life of the trans from there! They do some amazing work! Best of Luck

i agree my clutch is also very new, i have 4,000miles on my exedy stage 2, it grabs high which i like due to a lot of traffic driving, but if im in it and try to snag second gear it just wants to grind, also at a stand still going into reverse it just doesnt want to go unless i forcefully push it HARD to the right and then down? syncs going bad? if so do they have after market ones that are good? please forgive me i dont know much about a manual trans, i can build the hell outta a 4r100 though haha
