Question Buschur vs AMS Mustache Bar - Alot of questions

Hey guys,
Sorry to start maybe another thread on this but I searched for a while and some questions that I had got answered while others have not so I thought that I would post this and maybe get some help.

AMS:
1. Does the AMS bar er eliminator kit come as the whole package and I dont have to buy anything extra for it? ex: bushing or something of that nature?
2. Is the reason for the AMS being so loud is because it comes with the bushings?
3. How bad is the vibrations once installed and driving on the freeway?
4. Do you use stock mounts and holes for the bolts or does new ones have to be made?

Buschur:
1. Do I need to buy anything else with the bar or is this the whole package?
2. Do I need to just get the bar or do I also need the Buschur Racing Solid Rear Diff Bushings?
3. Does the bar come with that bushing? I thought it came with it or am I wrong?
4. I've seen people just change the bushing and that "fixed" the clunk sound, is that the better route or should I just buy the bar instead?
5. Getting the bar along with Buschur Racing Rear Diff Side Support, how bad would drive-ability be for a DD?
6. Are there any vibrations with just the bar installed while on freeway?
7. With the bushings and the bar on freeway?
8. With the bushings, bar and side support on the freeway?
9. Does it use stock mounting plus holes for bolts or does new ones need to be made?
10. So one thing i just dont get is what is the point of the buschur bushings?
11. Do they go into the stock bar for people that dont want the aftermarket one or do they go somewhere completely different?
12. How is the sound with the bar, with the bar and side mounts, and finally with all 3 in?

And the most important question, any issues with either?

Thanks for the help guys, I really hate my clunk sound and want to get rid of it plus save some weight too if the price is good but this is where i need all your help, the evo members, buschur folks and ams. Please give as much information as you can.

Thanks
Reggie

I run the AMS one, if you don't like noise this isn't for you

It comes with all the parts. You have to press the old bushings out of your diff mounts and you do have to drill a hole in the crossmember for the rear bracket to bolt to.

Noise on the freeway depends on load, from a loud whine to a soft hum. I haven't noticed any extra vibration but then again I also swapped out my engine mounts for theirs at the same time

You will also hear noises from the diff when shifting if not done right. Kinda hard to explain but I relate it to hearing the drivetrain windup/lash ends up just being another clunk sound I guess.

It did take away the clunk under hard shifts though! Next up is the two piece driveline!

The AMS one is loud as hell on decel. Every person that has ridden in my car has asked what is wrong with my car and commented on how annoying it is.

It's about the only part on my car I'd consider very bad for a daily driver.

If I were willing to spend the money, I'd sell it and give Buschur's a shot with <60A poly bushings in the side mounts.

to eliminate the clunking swap bushings, go with works, or energy suspension or some combo--save the money on replacing the bar and forget 1/2 the questions you asked. Problem solved at a fraction of the price and no issues.. yes, i did this on my car and its fine.

Whwn you look at what the AMS one does you'll see it's mounting the diff SOLID to the crossmember...not the best for nvh but damn nice at doing what it was designed to do anything with bushings is going to be quieter or sure.

Sorry to disappoint, but the Buschur bar is probably just as loud as the AMS. I have it installed with the aluminum bushings and all the drivetrain noise is transmitted into the cabin.

With the Aluminum side bushings, you essentially have the same thing as the AMS setup. All the load (and vibration) goes right through the side mounts and into the chassis.

The only setup I think would offer the weight loss but MAY be a little more quiet is the Buschur bar with Poly side mounts in 60A or softer durometer.

If you don't care about weight and just want to get rid of a clunk, yeah, just do bushings. But that rear bar is worth like 12 pounds, if you are a pound pincher, that's a gold mine at some point.

this is like the perfect thread cause this is the actual next build i'll be doing to stiffen up the rear diff and eliminate some weight at the same time. As for the noise others are talking about i totally over looked that, i'll say this much, i went with torque solutions and changed all 4 mounts in the engine bay, Dude i cant even look out my rear view mirrior without holding the broadview mirror with my hand it vibrates so much. My pregnant wife refuses to ride in my evo cause the vibrations make her car sick. i want to drop the weight but don't think i can handle any additional noise or vibrations, good thing is my evo is a garage queen, only on the weekends. i look forward to much more needed info on this thread.
