Clutch engaging at top of pedal.
Clutch engaging at top of pedal.
Just as the post says, this is for my friends evo.
Exedy clutch not sure which one.
We have tryed to adjust the rod out so it has more travel. But nothing has changed.
Any info would be great!!
Pushing the pedal down maybe an inch and the clutch can be engaged or disengaged without any grinding.
Pretty much just engaging at the top of the pedal.

hmm..
we turned the rod bolt both ways and still didnt change a thing. Still at the top. we both are lost on how to fix this. The main concern is that the clutch will burn out and he wants to be able to launch the evo but it causes a bit of concern that the clutch will burn off or cause problems with his transfer case. He said it has a 13 lbs aluminum flywheel too.
so when you adjusted it the engagement didnt move up or down at all? your should be able to adjust then rod in and the engagement point should move down a little...its still not going to be super low engagement tho and if you adjust too far in you'll run in to rpm lockout issues during high rpm shifts
we adjusted it both ways and it didnt change a thing. still at the top. car in gear, driving down the road, you can push the clutch down like an inch and the car will be in neutral. we dont have a clue why this happens.
When you adjust the pedal, the rod doesn't move. Adjusting the pedal is for disengagement point, not engagement.
The only way to adjust it is to add shims to close the gap between the disc and pressure plate.
