i was stupid....re used flywheel/PP....new clutch

well as in my other post..motor went down..rebuilt everything..fires up great and sounds good...

however visually inspected my pressure plate and flywheel and thought i could just throw a new clutch in....well i was wrong.

now when motor is on it locks out of 4th and rev....if i'm moving it will go in 4th...

i have to turn the car off to get it in reverse.

also on accelerating from first its like the harshest engagement but once out of first it drives like normal threw all the gears...

i already had the pedal adjusted high from when i did clutch few years ago..but looks like i'll have to bite the bullet and get a full clutch kit...sigh..

any thoughts?

Just sounds like the disc is not fully disengaged. Just double check the length of throw, air in line. etc. Have someone hit the pedal and see if you disc will spin through the inspection cover.

Good luck

i though tthat too...because if i fully clutch in and go in first the car moves a bit before it goes in gear..so i don tthink clutch is fully disengaging too...but i never touched the slave cylinder..but i guess it may still need bleeding??...my pedal is very close to the top..i'm sure i can get it to go more...but idk how much is too much.....

hoping i wake up tomorrow and problems go away!

just bleed the slave cylinder, wont hurt to try
and if that doesn't work then you
might as well start tearing her down again
