Switching to SD, what intake?

I'm thinking about switching to SD in the next couple weeks. My question is, if I'm using stock BOV, should I get an intake pipe that allow the BOV to recirculate back or should I just connect the stock BOV to the UICP and have it VTA?

I'm currently using a perrin intake. The pipe is 3" across and want to go up to 4".

With SD you can VTA since the MAF won't need to meter the air from the BOV.

^ Correct. I just never saw a stock BOV VTA. Not exectly sure how to do it. I'm also not too crazy about the extra noise it will make.

remove it from the intake (keeping it connected to the UICP), plug the intake hole and you are now VTA......its pretty darn loud.

You can continue to re-circ it with SD to cut down on the noise. That won't hurt anything.

how do i connect a 3" intake pipe (perrin) to a 4" filter? I was thinking about getting a STI filter that it 3.1" but rather just get a 4"pipe.

^ in that case I will just make my own with a 45 degree 4" aluminum pipe and a 45 degree coupler.

Should I worry about not having the edged beaded? I don't think anything would pop off since air is being sucked in. Any thoughts?

I made an adapter with pvc from home depot, mates my 4" filter to my 3" intake....you cant even see it, its behind couplers.

You're welcome.

Buy a tube, a filter, a coupler, and a brass nipple and you're good to go.
