Once again, if your MIVEC cam oil hole slots are machined with a square groove like the profile on the left, don't install them as they will break. The newer revised cams should have a nice radiused oil groove.

I can't believe I missed all that, makes me want to get rid of the M2's I got now. They have been in the car for 2 years or so now. Guess it's time to check them out again for any signs of damage.

i'll have the pics up today. I didnt think it would have went up 3 pages my bad for not checking. I have install cam so many times I cant count them and going off the book as well just so I wouldnt mess anything up. I guess stuff happens.

Your profile shows you have non-MIVEC cams so I am curious to see how/where the breakage would be. All MIVEC people should stay out of this thread for now.

Hmmm, breaking in the middle is not normal. Any chance a cam cap was on backwards or just cocked funny?

I haven't seen or heard of an issues with the I4 cams having a problem on install, but i will tell you the longer I6 (2JZ or RB) cams we have people break them all the time on install. Please give me a call on monday and we will get you a single intake cam.
