While the Subaru tranny may not be as strong as the EVO's, it still can stand some trashing. There are multiple 12 second WRX's now in the US and they are all on the stock tranny. Only one blew up I think (very very abusive driver! ) But someone has ran a 12.3 on the stock driveline. The tranny is capable of the 11's, but may not hold up as long. A clutch that is too powerful will blow it up really fast. I know several WRX's from Brunei that run PE turbos and make over 300 crank HP, and have WELL over 100,000km's that are still in tip-top shape. You must treat the AWD tranny with respect.

Im still running stock Tranny (exedy triple and flywheel) and im pushing over 600hp. Seems to be doing just fine. Transfer case however... Just started going out.

Ok I was really getting concerned reading about 400lb ft being to much for our trannies to hold. Didnt think for a second to look at the date seeing as this was on page 1 lol I feel retarded
