it will depend on your boost level, and how your dyno reads. I'd say 450-500whp should be ok, but increasing boost will decrease the pump flow a lot. If you want 600whp, go for double pumper (2x walbro's) or you could try another pump inline (e.g. bosch 044).

I will be running a fuel pressure sensor in my setup to find this limit also

the boost it would be around 37 - 38 psi with 6262/.82 BB and 2.3 engin to get 600 - 620 whp as what my tuner told me

Normally people opt for a double pumper or similar set up at around 500whp with the amount of power u r goin to be making I would definitely invest the extra money for the safety factor of having a lil headroom. At least that's what I would do.

It would really be a good idea to go double pumper on your setup. This way you have the extra safety margin you will need. Also I would look into something bigger than the 1000's. Go with something in the 1200 to 1450 range.

DSPORT did a nice article on fuel pumps in this months issue that you might find helpful/informative. Check it out.

Good luck.

Double pumper or inline.....don't skimp on a fuel system...going lean at high RPM is not good

On C16 the single 255hp pump can make 600hp on a Dynojet. Ive seen it and done it. You have to remember that the Walbros eventually start to pump less with time so thats a big concern as it starts to age.

A new Walbro can eek out 600whp at 30psi boost with 1000cc injectors, but you don't want to do that. Why? Because the rail pressure drops so low that the injector pulse has to be abnormally large to compensate. But in reality, it doesn't do that efficiently because atomization quality drops as a result of the low rail pressure. And naturally, the greater the boost pressure, the worse that scenario becomes. In short, you're missing out on power and hanging on by a thread.

A single Walbro begins to lose rail pressure around 525-550whp. For anything north of 550whp with gasoline, plan on increasing fuel pump capacity.
