Buschur exhaust question
Buschur exhaust question
so i bought my 06 evo mr with a buschur tbe exhaust with the magnaflow muffler. The guy that sold it to me said that bushur is a 2 piece exhaust so exhaust parts arent interchangeable with other brands. so lets say i wanted to buy a different catback(ex. ams) would it fit on the existing part of my exhaust? if that makes sense lol thanks in advance.
get ahold of Buschur, they offer a "bullit" muffler that is not nearly as quiet. If you contact them they have many different options as far as the mufflers that can make it rediculously loud (straight pipe with muffler deletes) to extremely quiet (2 magnaflow mufflers). Give them a call tomorrow and Nick will be more than willing to help you out.
Personally I run the v-band exhaust with a Bullit muffler in the middle and the SD muffler (resonator) in the rear. Its quiet for the most part at idle but gets fairly loud top end. Im also putting down a little over 700 wheel so its hard for anything to be quiet.

you could get a full new section for however your exhaust is made. If it has band clamps then its the slip fit. If you get a full new section, then if you want it to be quieter for any reason you could put the magnaflow muffler back on.

you could get another brand exhaust from the downpipe back, so u would need a new test pipe or hfc and then the catback....but honestly after having buschur exhaust on my car for 4 years and hearing countless other brand exhausts, they all sound like crap compared to buschur. not trying to leg hump BR but its a one of a kind exhaust and sounds different than all other exhaust at idle, normal throttle and full throttle. go with the bullet muffler
Im sure someone out there has the bullet exhaust and would rather have the quieter magnaflow. IF you can find such a person, you could just swap the muffler with them. Otherwise, i think buschur sells just the axleback muffler section. Or, you could switch to any catback system with 2-bolt flange.
It really depends on what you want, but the bullet muffler section would be the best $ route, I think

Agreed on that it a unique sound..When people pull up to the side of me I half throttle it in low low rpm and make it ping in their ears they always slam on their brakes
..I also have a tubular manifold so it sounds much different to cast style it actually sounds like a r1 on steroids.
