you really really really should not be revving over 8200 and even i would then say 8000 is enough. You will make plenty of power before then and will not require such high revs. If you were aiming at 9k revs you bought the wrong motor should have gotten a 2.0 or 2.1. ALso with a LR2.4 you could rev higher but you will not make more power then a std2.4 I dont understand this rash of folks wanting to rev to the moon now and days guezz. Just because you see SHOP CARS do it does not mean the average person should try. If that shop blows there motor oh well if the the average customer does its a big deal.

Not to be a dick...but it sounds like you should probably be driving a Prius and not worrying much about technical things For example, having a motor built and knowing absolutely nothing about...well, anything it seems.

often you say still lol pending turbo selection will determine that but i dont think you understanding you wil make all that power sooner ad quicker then a 2.0 counterpart. 8k revs will get the job done but then again the race might be over with all the instant spool and power you will be making 2.4 allday

i only run my 2.4l to 7-7.5k rpms. it makes peak power at about 6 to 6.5k rpms. no need to rev much past that.

I'm confused.. why the run the stock turbo on a 2.4 with a built head? Is that just a temporary setup while you're waiting on something bigger?

good at least thats done but you longblock is better then your turbo choice you will not even
be pushing hard enough to justify all that money spent at least its done but you need to upgrade turboes
