Laggy fp-red?

Alright I just installed a new Surge port Fp-red non-ported.

Relevant mods are:

-Stock motor/head
-Kelford 272's
-AMS VSR
-Ported stock mani
-ebay o2 housing
-3" exhaust no cat
-Nisei FMIC w/2.5" piping
-Manual BC
-No boost leaks

I'm getting 24psi at around 4,600rpms according to my AEM logs. Seams a little slow? A/F's start in the 13.5 range and slowly get down to 11.4 or so when it hits full boost. I tried really low timing during spool and that seamed to make it worse.

Is this what you guys are seeing for spool, or is something going on tune related?

I think around 4500 rpm is about right for a fp red to hit full boost.

Put your afrs to 14.8 on spool uP and if it has mivec adjust that a bit more.topical spool is 4,300 full boost so your close try my spool up afr advice and your gonna be happy.another factor is your intake manifold will also cause it to be a bit lazzy..post your graph.

No boost leaks.

I've tried lean spool, tried reduced timing with more fuel, nothing seams to make any changes in how it spools. I think it's just going to be 4,600.

I'm running 93 pump gas BTW.

Check your WGA maybe? Make sure it still has good preload, etc.

4,600 in 3rd gear. Doesn't hit 25psi untill around 5,300 in 2nd.

WGA is how it was from FP. I could tighten the pre-load but i already get pretty nasty boost spike so i'm sure that won't help with it.

What is your wastegate setup? have you tried preloading the actuator (if it's internal wastegate)

The WGA does NOT come setup from FP- as stated on the website. My guess is the WGA is not tightened enough, thus causing your lazy boost.

I don't see where they state it's not set-up?

I can try and tighten the pre-load.

Which WGA came are you running, the 18 or 25 psi? This could have something to do with the lag.
