Pls Comment On My Set-Up...

HI,
pls kindly advise and share what is the ideal engine set-up as below is my current set-up :
(Target - Is to have great Throttle Response and minimum Lag)
1) Stock Evo 5 TD05HR 16G turbo
2) 600mm x 300mm x 70mm IC
3) 2.5" IC pipings
4) Stock Intake & 65mm TB
5) GSC S2 cams
6) Manifold with turbosmart wastegate
7) Stock 560cc injectors

If i port my intake manifold and TB to 70mm will it have better low end power or increase lag?

Boost : Low = 1.2bar / High = 1.4bar

Thanks

What manifold are you using in conjunction with the Turbosmart WG? Do you have the stock, integral gate welded shut?

It would be wise to port the hotside and turbo manifold as well...What are you using to control boost?

Would you please share your current post-turbo exhaust setup with us. I am refering to the type of turbo elbow(O2 housing), downpipe, catalytic convertor/test pipe, cat-back exhaust.

Hi guys,
thanks for sharing and here are some of my engine set-up pictures.
Im using Greddy Pro-fec B II boost controller and a 3" straight pipe from the stock turbo downpipe.

Upgrade the stock turbo to the new HKS GT7460 GTII ballbearing turbo. This is a direct replacement for the stock turbo. But, it should give you about 90 engine horsepower more than your existing stock turbo. Furthermore, it will spoolup just as fast as your stock unit. You will need larger injectors and a higher volume fuel pump.

Do the complete post turbo exhaust. Start with replacing the stock O2 elbow with an O2 dump. Get a full 3" diameter downpipe as well.

Your injectors and fuel pump (if you are on the stock one) are holding your setup back right now, I don't think porting the TB is a good idea now, that will hurt your low end more than help it.
