Ceramic coating a LICP. Worth it?

I am in the process of wrapping up a small e85 setup with the addition of some new parts and have come to the point at which I am getting some things coated. I have a Buschur LICP and j-pipe that I was considering getting ceramic coated to help isolate the intake charge from the exhaust heat as much as possible knowing that these two pipes run rather close to the downpipe.

Has anybody done this and does anyone think this is worth the money to do? I know most companies offer a powder coated finish on these as my last ETS LICP was coated black but it was not ceramic coated.

Any input from a technical or first hand experience standpoint would be appreciated.

not really
air velocity is so high in the intake piping it does not help lower temps

It seems as if it would help some but you are right...to what degree being that the intake charge is moving so quickly with little time to become affected.

when I was running an aftermarket LICP I had the side facing the DP wrapped in DEI heat shielding. I know buschur used to do the same thing, not sure if they still do though.

I would coat or wrap the downpipe instead of the intercooler piping.
To answer your question: No, it would be a waste of money to ceramic coat just the jpipe or lower intercooler pipe. I would focus on the exhaust components if your looking to reduce underhood temps (downpipe, exhaust manifold, o2, turbine).

+1 coating any IC piping is poor bang for the buck

Actually I have my entire exhaust coated already. I guess that's probably enough. Just wanting to cover all bases. I assume it probably wouldn't hurt to coat it but maybe not a good use for the money considering it's not cheap. I guess I could just use heat wrap as jonny2735 suggested. It would be way cheaper!
