Will a Evo VI Koyo radiator fit an Evo VIII-IX ?
I want to relocate my upper radiator hose b/c I am going to build upper mount turbo kit for this car but I don't want to modify a brand new koyo radiator
Plus it do not looks nice after you welded aluminum + it will cost time and money to modify it
And I see that Koyo radiator for EVO IV-V-VI look similar to EVO VII-VIII-IX version
I draw lines for comparison since drawings are out of scale [red lines do not match which is the length of the radiators do not match even if Evo IV-V-VI radiator only 10 MM longer]
My bet It will fit maybe I need to build extra lower hanger or upper radiator brackets
I guess following car is quipped with Evo IV-V-VI Koyo Radiator since it comes with Koyo logo on it + it has got large upper tank [Check the orange line] plus radiator cap is placed left side of the radiator
After a quick search [Yes I searched the forum first, I found this on google] I find this post;
This one is Mishimoto but since these radiators are OE replacement they need to be in same in size at least connections points needs to be same like radiator hose input and output
For the record;
I. Evo VII-VIII-IX Radiator
II. Evo IV-VI-VI Radiator

Going custom top mount will involve some chopping and welding regardless, best bet is get the hard fab done with the radiator out. If you need to chop and weld the radiator man up. It's not gold plated!
Or get a buschur mini rad and sell the koyo

I am using a half radiator right know but from what I read you will be fine with any OEM/Aftermarket Evo IV-VI radiator hose.
If you can source OEM/Aftermarket Evo IV-VI radiator hose than you may weld -12An radiator fittings to water neck and radiator to build your custom hose

I am doing this cuz I want to have the biggest radiator that I can fit the available space without blocking my FF turbo setup to maximize my cooling efficiency

Right know I am using a Full-Blown Civic radiator but I will get a custom twin pass twin row radiator trough once I finish my build completely;
