Are eclipse 4g63 blocks same as evos?
Alright so im doing a little project i got a 1979 Porsche 911 wide body that needs a motor i was going to put a Subaru motor in it but then found out they also make an adapter plate for a Mitsubishi 2.0 4g63 and after owning 2 evos i know its easier to build mitsu power over suby imo...
So the motor is in the rear of the car flywheel facing to the front of the car. that leads to a intake problem the throttle body is heading the wrong way to make a the IC to fit efficiently and also the air intake also. I know on Subaru you can flip the intakes around has anyone herd of this on a evo or would it be possible to use a eclipse intake and header to switch it the other way? is a 4g63 block and head still all the same bolt patter throughout? just different internals? this is stuff id like to know before i buy my budys Evo VIII motor to then just look for a 6bolt and do a mild build on it

Just have someone fab a sheet metal intake with the throttle body relocated. Hell, room permitting, you might be able to put the TB in the center of the manifold so you can even out air flow a little
but is the rear of the block where the tranny mounts the same bolt patern as say a gsx 4g63? the company that makes the adapterplate isnt sure and i cant seam to find out either
