Question 4G63 Eclipse Motor??

I've been searching for a way to get a new motor in my slow ES and I found the Evo 7 code is 4G63 and the 1st Gen Eclipse motors are 4G63 also now the import won't fit cause it's rightside drive we know that but does anyone know if the 2.0 4G63 Motor from an eclipse will fit because it is a lil more powerful and better cheaper mods for the engine itself if anyone knows anything about this please let me know.

Looks like you agree too then. I mean now you can probly pick up a coupe gst for about 10-12k, the turbo spyders are always gonna be much more, Harder to find? For the cost of the engine and labor man it would probably half the cost of the car. As with alot of swapps, if not done correctly, can get very expensive, very fast. Not to mention your warranty would be out the window. You want a 4g63 you would be much happier just goin and buying the car equiped stock with one. You wouldnt just be replacing the engine...but eveything that connects to it..think about it man!

I asked cause it's not going to cost me a thing, one of my friends had an eclipse that was rear end totalled and he wants a new car instead so he's getting the old one back for some odd reason he's strange about that but, I can get his engine put it in my car and the labor is covered by his dad who builds race cars so everything is covered thanks for all your help
