Problem with A/f keep changing
Problem with A/f keep changing
Hi
I hope this is the right sub forum.
My tuner having problem tune the A/F ratio. The car is EVO 8 MR JDM version and ECU is Motec M800 and the injectors are 1000cc Injector Dynamic.
After the A/F Ratio already set and tested at 14:1 at idle, when the next day or after few days, when the engine at idle, the A/F ratio can change to 13.5:1 and on the other day can be 14.5:1. My tuner fix the map again and again but later on the A/F ratio change again. Since I live in the tropical country, the temp is not fluctuating much. Light throttle A/F ratio also has the same problem, but full throttle has less problem. This can be dangerous to the engine if suddently the A/F ratio change by it self to the leaner side.
My tuner is Motec Tuner. He tunes motec for Rally, Race and Drag car but this is his first time to tune using Injector Dynamic. He never experience this A/F ratio problem before using other Injectors Brand.
Questions:
- Is anybody here can help/guide me on how to set up the Injector Dynamic parameters properly with Motec M800? Ohm already set at 1.
- Is anybody here having the same problem like mine? If so please share on how to solve the problem
Hopefully someone willing to share here...
Thanks

You need a spec card from Injector Dynamics...call them up, they can probably email you the needed information. Once you have the spec card give it to your tuner, he should know what to do with it.
This is what I found after a quick search over in the ECUFlash section:

ID750 Voltage Compensation
Go here: http://www.motec.com.au/downloads/downloaddatasheets/
Scroll down to Fuel Delivery, and download the data sheet CDS34015 for ID750's.
It has the correct setup procedure and Battery Voltage Compensation tables for your injectors.
These values need to be correct before your car is tuned.

Thanks for the link. I have scroll down to Fuel Delivey section but I only found CDS34015 for YP injectors, not ID. Is it the same injectors YP and ID?

After following the injector dynamics setup from the link that Mike Gave it to me, the A/F ratio still behave the same. It changing from time to time.
Any other idea about how to solve this problem?
Thanks
