The main advantage to me is the fact that a LR2.4 is less vibey than the standard rod 2.4 or a 2.3 with only a 1.5 R/s. Its not much granted, but the LR2.4 that is in my car and Mikey's (well his has solid mounts so its vibey) rev high, have been beat repeatedly, and holds up. Mine has gone 15k with daily romp to 32-34psi which is 715whp-736whp and 540 ft lbs.

I understand what you are saying, my friend. I have talked to Adam @ MAP and I believe the 2.4L is in my future. I do wonder how many of you fellahs truly drive your EVO every day to include long road trips.

LR 2.4 is nothing but pure win, I second exactly what Mikey said! For a DD and beast, a LR 2.4 is the way to go.

Twice a week (though not this time of year) I drive from Vancouver WA to Aberdeen WA. It is a 144.6 miles from the shop to my weekend residence. That is the longest I take a trip in my car but its highway and I drive fairly normal on the way home to see how good I can get my mileage on E85 (around 19.6 right now). 30-50 miles during the week normally.

I have driven mine long distances a few times now and put about 200+ miles on the car a week... I have driven to Miami a couple of times (6 hours) and up to Spec-Ops in NC a handful of times (6.5 hours) without issue...

6766 will be going on my car once I'm done with the EF4. 3794 also would be a monster setup on a 2.4.

I don't think that the 6766 will work good on 2.4L , this kind of turbo needs a high rivving , 2.0 or 2.1 are the best on big turbos like this . I have talked with alot of shops and they said the 2.0-2.1 are the best for big turbos like 6766 .
I'm waiting for my short block 2.1L from MAP then I will keep you posted guys what 2.1 is going to put on 6766 45-48psi

I highly disagree with this. I believe a 6766 will work GREAT with a LR2.4. With a LR2.4 that can "riv" to 9K RPM's and spool a 6766 very quick, you will have a very nice power band to play with that will make an awesome street car. A 6766 on a 2.0L would be a horrible setup unless its a strict drag race car IMO.

I totaly agree with you if the 2.4LR can riv to 9k RPM's , I'v never seen any of 2.4 can riv 9K RPM's with non problems mabey 8000-8300K would be fine , If there is any 2.4LLR can get me to 9K on 6766 I WILL GET IT RIGHT NOW .
when would it spool at on 2.4LR ?

English Racing or Myself can build you a 2.4LR that will rev to 9k. It is all about the correct combo and clearances. I rev mine to 8800 on a daily basis and would have no problem taking it over 9k if I had a turbo that would make power at 9k. My DBB Black starts to fall off over 8400 so there is no need to rev it higher than 8800.

Just to let you know, a std rod 2.3 or 2.4 can rev to 8500 all day long. A long rod is higher.

And to piggy back on what Aaron stated. I do drive my car very hard and rev it to the moon when need be. I have around 20k hard miles on my motor and everything is perfect so far. It is funny, you can take a std rod 2.3 or 2.4 and rev it over 8500 and you can just feel/hear the motor not being happy. I have taken my 2.4LR to 9200 and it just purrs like a kitten.

My motor combo is by far, the favorite that I have ever driven. Thank you Aaron for such a great motor

^^^ There you go. There is PLENTY of people "rivving" their 2.4LR to 9K RPM's. You should only "riv" a motor out to your peak power. A 6766 and 2.4LR will have great spool up. You should do some research before you give out dumb advice again. This information and answers to your questions are all over the place.

He'll there's people on here that believe a STD 2.4 can rev as high as a 2.0. Most times it's not necessary.

If you're that concerned with having a high revving motor there's always Honda. Lol.
