your setup is killer too but when would it spool ?
also do you have any idea on the HTA37 2.4LR when would it spool at ?
EVO BOSS - I have to agree that you are not wanting to take anyones advice. I work for a shop for a reason, not because I pick my nose on the daily... lol
Anyway, I'm going to leave you with this. Have fun https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ing-2-4-a.html
^ btw that is the car that is now making 850whp on H beams

the 2.4 is a great motor , but what I'm saying is running 6766 on 2.4L will not work good , it spools on 5200rpms with good tune but rivving to 8500rpm but you need a solid top end to keep up with a fast cars on the highway .
I'm looking for some thing to make me run with zo6 TT 900whp lol .
I have an evo with HKS 2.3L , 6262 and its a great street car spools at 4500 to 8100rpms ...

Thats a highway car. If you want something that will smoke a TT Z06 on the highway....aka after 140mph (or a ZR-1) or something in its class then get a motorcycle, the same car or a Supra and have fun with your highway queen (Because it won't be good for much else).
The Evo is one of the few cars you can build and have fun on the street and not sacrifice a lot to beat most cars.
I made 777 @ 7k @ 33 PSI.....and there was more left in it. Also my car is blast to drive OFF boost. The displacement plus the higher compression make for a fun car to drive at any point in the power band.
@Mikey. I've been dying to build one more Honda. Another EG body style or EK with a K20A(R). My son is 13 this year so I have a few more years to mess with the Evo before i start building him something.
I also agree....sounds like your minds made up. People who have done it are telling you their real world experience and providing proof and evidence but you still seem like you are not convinced.
Stay with the 2.0 and the 6766.

You will beat a Z06 (NA or with a TT setup) with 700-800 on the street and up to 120-130mph (Hell maybe even up to 150mphish depending on your gearing). After that its gearing and aerodynamics.

4500 to 8500 is my powerband on the car. You will lose a little with the 37 but you will have more peak hp. My tranny is built but I did not change the gears.

A TT Z06 would anally assault almost any bike. Bikes are terrible on top end compared to a well modded car, a 1000 will die hard around 145-150mph and 600's are done around 135ish.
good he did 850whp as what are you saying , but did he get 9k rpms ... I agree with you that the 2.0 or 2.1 have 156.159mm but doesnt make much tq as the 2.4L .. I'm still saying if there is a 2.4LR can hold 850-900whp and rivving to 9K all the day I will take it right now ...
We use I beams that weigh 602g and are stronger than the 568g H beams I had in my motor for last year. Since it will come up I am sure, I built a better motor for this year. I will also go grab the 8900rpm log for those that need proof.
I have one on the shelf ready to ship
