Its the oil trust me. go drain your oil and put in cheap oil and your turbo will be gone in 20 miles, it happens very fast.

yes i would hope so for 14 bux a qt lol. why not switch to amsoil or brad penn or something along those lines? you can buy a membership at amsoil for $10 then get 20-30% off instantly and you can get the premium synthetic oil for like $6.70 a qt (normally $9.15) when bought in case of 12. PA has lots of amsoil distributors you can drive to and get it in person also!

I used to run mobil 1 and now have more recently been using Q horsepower. I have to admit I did not give enough thought to what is in my oil, but I do change it frequently. I have one of the original FP Reds I recieved from a friend that works up there. I only changed from the stock oil feed line when FP stated that they would void the warrenty. I do not use a restrictor and am using the first version oil feed line from the head. I have not had any problems with the turbo. I not go track my car at road courses though. I know someone who had a failure at the track with a FP Red running it very hard with the stock oil feed. Before the upgraded line was availible.

If its not on the list dont risk it anymore then you have to. Taking the turbo off and on is a pain in the ***.

No I liked it well enough and it wasn't to expensive and it is sold at autozone. But it isn't a full synthetic so I'll just get AMSOIL pay a little more and have the piece of mind.

true. ya do what i said get the membership then you get 20-30% discount right away which brings it to a much more reasonable price per qt I was using the 20w50 ARO premium synthetic stuff, it works great.. also if you can get brad penn local get that as well. Both oils are hard to beat. The Amsoil allowed my motor to run on 3 qts of oil for a good 300 miles, so that stuff is crazy good.

I've been running mobil 1 10w30 synthetic for a few thousand miles on my red. Time to switch over shortly.... Anyway, I'm on the stock motor with the fp red. Would you guys recommend running the Amsoil SAE 10W-30 OE Synthetic Motor Oil or the Amsoil SAE 10W-40 Synthetic Premium Protection Motor Oil?
