Yes, there is a TSB on it.. There are updated components.. However there is no recall on it.
Although I haven't had any transfer case problems, I do find that I "Smell" what smells like gear oil (rear end or transfer case) I dont know that its leaking, but it might also be something to check when they work on your tranny...

Ya know, I don't have the number. I saw the document with the reference to "Updated Parts" that the service manager at the dealer showed me, and never asked for a copy of it. My synchro and some other portion of the gearset (I think the fork and idler shaft) had a few parts also replaced under warranty.
I'll take a look at my paperwork for the repair and see if they have a document ID#

the synchro, gear, and synchro hub is no good in my tranny. I finished tearing the tranny down for inspection. Even though I dont beat on the tranny 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th gears need to be replaced, along with synchros and hubs. Its not the actual gears that are no good, its the teeth that engage into the synchros that are rounded and dulled. These teeth are part of the gear itself. Im very dissapointed in the strength of these gears and their synchro design, but I shall have a like new tranny in a 1 or 2 days.
I suspect all the guys that have any gear grind have the same problems I have. I will have to give the tranny an extra second to fully engage the gear from now on. As for a TSB, good luck. All I know is that I trust noone to work on any part of my car but myself.
