Billet Output Shaft???
Awesome, thanks for the info. I was quick slipping the clutch and never really dumped it, but I didnt really "load" it either. I think I was holding the clutch too far down, I should have probably held it in closer to engagement. Thanks for all the great info! I figured I should learn this before breaking another 5k in parts.
Slowly letting the clutch out untill you can feel it start to drag, this "loads" the drivetrain. You can also use the e-brake method but I haven't tried that one yet. From that point you can quick slip the clutch and its a lot easier on the drivetrain. You're lessening the inital shock off of the gears by taking the slack out of the drivetrain before putting the power to it.
I'm guessing you were doing straight clutch dumps, I did the same thing when I got my car. Four runs (300whp) and BOOM, off to Shep for a trans build w/output shaft and a stage 3 t-case with a new ring/pinion. I read up and learned how to launch the car after that.
Theres a ton of threads in the driving techniques section about launching.
