RNR: Why don't you run the 1/8 mile hard and coast through the 1/4. You can still get 1/8 mile times and mph and estimate the 1/4 based off your 1/8 mile numbers. You also get several runs without getting kicked off. Most of the 1/4 mile tracks don't bother with your times and mph of the 1/8 (most don't, some do). Then when your ready to leave, run the 1/4. Tune it, don't waste your time hoping you get one good 1/4 mile run in.
Here what you need to do in order to get your pass in. 1st, get your tires pressures & launch sorted out to get your 60 ft times ( Carlsbad is always dirty! ) & lift mid track. To sort out your high speed tuning, roll your car off the line as if your driving through in & out burger, then nail & run it through the traps! Once everything is dialed in, make your bid daddy pass & go home!
We have put plenty of roll bars in DSM's before so that is not a big deal. What the big deal is that I love driving this car everyday and don't like the thought of having a cage in there.
This car is more of an ultimate street car. It is going to have all the creature comforts, sounds, handling, looks, etc when we are finished with it. I don't want to take anythng away from the fun factor of the car currently. I do believe a roll bar would do this.
Also if we built a bolt-in cage then it wouldn't be legal. Then if a tech actually looked at it closely would realize it and kick us out again for that.
Plus to run 11.9 you need
5pt roll bar
harnesses
driveshaft loop
fire jacket
etc, etc
We are actually still open to the idea of building a simple roll bar.

you said you only had head studs 720 injectors and the turbo(along with manifold naturally)
so this was without filter kit or exhaust???
you didnt list safc but I know you have that on there...

When Ryan was running the stock turbo he was using the o2 elim dp and full 3" exhaust. For his new turbo, he has to fab a 3" o2 elim dp for it. I think that the 2.25" one is the standard o2 housing.
so what happened at carlsbad? my family lives in vista, about 5 miles max from the track & they said it was cloudy without any rain!!!! what gives?
this is the 2nd or 3rd time you were going to track & never made any post's regarding your runs?
